World Prosperity Organization & IMAIP join forces to educate LATAM about data as a human right

The World Prosperity Organization joined forces with the Michoacan Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (IMAIP) this past Tuesday November 21 in Morelia, the state capital of Michoacan to sign a memorandum of understanding for the purpose of educating about data as human right.


The Secretary General of the World Prosperity Organization, Ramon Barajas III, the President of IMAIP Abraham Montes Magaña alongside Comissioner Areli Yamilet Navarrete Naranjo who began the work for this partnership during her term as President of IMAIP and Commissioner Ruth Nohemi Espinoza Perez were present at the signing.

The importance of protecting personal data, accessing information and transparency in our everyday lives is no longer just a privilege for some but a human right for all. For this, the World Prosperity Organization and the Michoacan Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (IMAIP) set out on a mission to develop a regional plan of action through Latin America through a series of conferences, forums, workshops and more of which can be accessed by all communities.


The communties of priority will be those who are underserved, mostly represented by indigenous communties, low income communties, migrant communities, etc. In this first phase, women, youth, migrants and indigenous will be prioritized.
